This 8.700-770.0 Wayne Electrode Insulator is the same as Wayne Item Number 13286. Sold in a pair, these electrodes have a G Shape Buss bar Electrodes provide a predetermined gap for the spark produced by the transformer / igniter. Correct adjustment and gap settings are required to provide a clean burn. A broken or cracked porcelain can allow voltage to pass through the crack to ground before reaching the electrode tip. Worn electrode tips can interfere with a good spark.
